Theme: History & Architecture

Budapest, Hungary

JULY 7 – AUGust 3

Come experience the quirky spirit of Budapest–a true convergence of Eastern and Western influences in Europe. Get ready to soak in some Gothic, Renaissance, Classic, Baroque, Art Nouveau, Brutalist and Bauhaus structures.

Did you know Budapest is the birthplace of soda? Celebrate this fact with a refreshing förccs, a.k.a. wine with soda. Today, Hungary is known for the upcycling movement that takes discarded items and makes them into something new. You’ll see this in the form of city ruins that have been remade into bars, workshops, and small businesses.

The unique mix of east and west, capitalism and socialism gives Budapest a unique appeal that is apparent in the culture, art, and architecture spread throughout the city. There is a reason you won’t find any top lists for digital nomads without Budapest.

The Experience

Merge old and new in strange, interesting ways

Thermal baths with medicinal waters and spa parties with incredible visual shows. Futurist structures built on historical warehouses. Upcycled cars as bar seats, escape rooms, and a forest on an island in the middle of the city.

Celebrate warm summer nights in open air bars and clubs situated on boats, under bridges or built inside the old ruins. Practice yoga and sip wine on the Liberty bridge and watch the sunset on the mountains of Buda where you can escape city life and go for a hike.

Explore the range of culture with concerts, musicals, theatre, and art exhibits while we are there during festivals like Valley of Arts, VeszprémFest, JazzPiknik, or check out one of the world’s largest psytrance festivals. Not to name drop but performers like Ziggy Marley, Iggy Pop, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Rick Astley, and UB40 will all be there.

Our Homebase

Have the comforts of home while living abroad

We’ve selected our housing in the best location in Budapest. Get ready to live like a local in the Jewish district, next to the coworking space and close to restaurants, bars, parks, gyms, grocery stores, and more. We are situated in the heart of the city, walking distance from all the important public transport lines.

We’ve outgrown staying in hostels and sharing shitty rooms with strangers. With us, you’ll have your own room in nice accommodations with good wifi and the amenities you’ll need to stay healthy, happy, and productive.

Working remotely doesn’t mean you always have to feel like you’re living out of a suitcase. Get ready to hang up your clothes, setup your Nintendo Switch, and put your feet up – you’re home!

Our Workspace

The best place to Get. Stuff. Done.

HubHub Budapest just opened a new 2400 square meter space that hosts 300 creatives and freelancers in the middle of the city center, designed for communities and aims to inspire creativity.

It’s a 15-minute walk to our housing so you can easily make it back and forth, but why not try sharing economy based solutions and cycling around or cruising with an electronic roller?

Buh-bye, wasted commute time.

The most important thing to us when selecting a coworking space is the wifi. Without it, none of us can do our work. You can expect to have consistent, great wifi in addition to the other things you might need to stay productive like a place to take calls, nice ergonomic chairs and desks, a nicely lit space, and more.

Ditch the office where you listen to Ed’s wheezing all day. Come to where the water cooler conversation with your HP fam is something you look forward to every day.
